End of Year Award Results

On Sunday December 18th, Bukon Shotokan held its inagaural Annual Awards presentation day at South Hurstville RSL club.

The event was hosted by Sensei Paul Fenech and there were 130 present for the presentations. The day started off with lunch, followed by demonstrations from each dojo. Following the demonstrations, a video was created by one of the parents to show images and footage of the students training, and competing over the past 4-5 years. Following the video footage, Sensei Paul made his welcoming speech and expressed his thanks to all for the support over the past 12 months. His speech touched many as he opened his mind on many topics including the beginning of our organisation. Overall, he was extremely proud of all his students and thankful to all parents that have supported his goals for the kids.

Following Sensei’s speech, it was time to make the presentations. This year, apart from student of the year, Sensei awarded a "Karate Ka of the Year" award. This was awarded to the student who stood out as a distinction from anyone else in the organisation.
